First draft of DPS article
Fans of DJ Triple T understand why he is so big in the world of House and
Trance music, and how he is so important to a developing style of Remixing and Mashing. But for the rest of you who have only just heard of him a minute ago when I first mentioned his name. Then I ask you this, where have you been!? If you really have been secluded from the entire music world then listen up, here is the story so far.
In 2009 Triple T released his debut single “Take Away’s And Make Away’s”. He produced his debut single in his parent’s basement at the incredible age of 16, (now you’re beginning to understand why he is so big) using only a small MIDI keyboard and an early version of FL Studio. This single of his made is to number 3 in the UK top 10 and number 12 in the US dance charts. So already by the age of 16 Buddy Green (Triple T) had got his name well into and spread around the world of dance music.
6 Months later on his 17th birthday, just when people where starting to think that Triple T had faded out into the ‘1 hit wonder’ region of music, he came back and released his first ever album called ‘Finally’ (rather fitting) with an all new mastered version of “Take Away’s And Make Away’s” it also included 11 other brand new tracks. I caught up to him about 10 days after he released his album and all he said to me was, “I finally got a studio.” He was still producing in his parent’s basement but this time with some better equipment. His first Album went straight to number 1 in the UK album charts and held that position for 6 weeks until it was knocked off, Triple T had collected a massive fan base from his debut album and was now considered one of the biggest DJ’s in the world at that point. DJ mag rated his as number 3 in the top 100 DJS, just behind Tiesto and Deadmau5.
For the Next year or so Buddy went on tour around the world playing at some of the biggest venues in the world, from the o2 arena in London to Green Point stadium in Cape Town. He toured with his chosen supporting acts which consisted of Dada Life and Axwell. By the time it came to the end of the year DJ mag had rated him the number one DJ in the world. By the time this DJ was 18 he had already toured the world playing alongside the greatest DJ’s in the world and becoming one of the greats as he toured and played.
Today DJ Triple T is still at the number one spot In the DJ world and has just released his second album ‘Fatale’ this album features 12 tracks of pure House and Trance gold, he has even collaborated with or DJ’s such as Deadmau5, Skrillex, Camo and Krooked and Swedish House Mafia. He also has tracks featuring TC and Shaz Sparks. He has just started his second world tour of his new album selling out almost every show. Keep making music DJ Triple T!
